Learn About The Balduzzi Group They’ve done some cool stuff.
John Balduzzi, President
After years of having slap shots ricochet off his goalie mask, John Balduzzi hung up his skates and decided he was better suited helping Democrats win elections. Named a Rising Star in Political Consulting by Campaigns & Elections Magazine, Balduzzi has over a decade of experience in campaign politics.
A native of Syracuse, N.Y., Balduzzi began his political career riding his bike around his hometown putting up lawn signs for then-Governor Mario Cuomo. His first “real gig” came after he graduated from Ithaca College, when he moved to Montgomery, Alabama and worked for former Governor Don Siegelman. Balduzzi later went on to serve as a Research Associate and Regional Press Secretary for the Democratic National Committee and John Kerry’s Presidential campaign.
After the 2004 presidential election, Balduzzi joined the Service Employees International Union, first serving as the Deputy Political Director for local 200United, and later as a Regional Campaign Manager for SEIU 1199/United Healthcare Workers East. During the 2006 election cycle, Balduzzi was the Campaign Manager for U.S. Rep. Dan Maffei (D-NY). Post-election, he joined the staff of Senator Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ). Balduzzi later went on to serve as the Political Director for Kennedy Communications, a Washington D.C.-based direct mail advertising firm. At Kennedy Com, he provided consulting services to caucuses, unions and candidates at all levels of government.
When he’s not playing politics, Balduzzi can be found on the golf course (when it’s nice out) or at a Syracuse hoops game (when it’s not). He lives in the Finger Lakes region of New York with his wife, Jessica Evangelista Balduzzi.

Jessica Evangelista –Senior Vice President
Jessica Evangelista brings a wealth of experience in campaign politics and political media to The Balduzzi Group. Jessica’s political career started when she was 14 years old, when she served as the chief political strategist to her father’s successful election to County Supervisor. She’s held that position for every re-election since, and her father hasn’t lost a race yet! Upon graduating from William Smith College with a degree in Public Policy and Spanish, Jessica worked in the research and communications office of the Democratic National Committee. During the 2006 campaign cycle, Jessica served as a writer/researcher with the AFL-CIO, providing direct mail services for the organization’s targeted US House and US Senate campaigns. Jessica went on to serve as an account executive at two large DC-based direct mail firms, helping to elect hundreds of State Legislators and Members of the US House and US Senate.
Outside of work, Jessica and her husband, John Balduzzi, stay busy raising their twins daughters, Gabriella and Gianna. Jessica enjoys cheering for the Syracuse Orange basketball team and “pinning” recipes on Pinterest. She has over 1,000 to try. Who’s coming to dinner?
